Wow. Angelina Jolie wore a $26 black crushed velvet dress to the premiere of “A Mighty Heart”. With Christian Louboutin high heels no less. $26! I like that. She found the dress at Wasteland, a vintage store in Los Angeles (Melrose to be exact).

The best part is that I almost feel like she’s making a mockery of the stars that feel they have to wear crazy-expensive new dresses every time they attend a different event. They might be wavering back and forth for hours on “the Dior or the Prada?” dilemma. But not Angelina. She doesn’t have time to be worried about things like that. “Does Sahara have milk?” That’s the real question. She has her priorities straight.

A HUGE no-no. This should never ever be seen EVER, and I’m a little offended that I even had to see this with my own two eyes, even with the computer as a buffer.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen (and teenage boy WWF wrestling fans), celebrity Brooke Hogan (daughter of WWF Hall of Famer if there is a WWF Hall of Fame Hulk Hogan) was spotted wearing this get-up. And not just running across the street to get a Jamba Juice. She chose to wear this in front of many many people at a concert she was performing in. Cut out jeans. With white Hane’s his way boy’s underwear. Terrible. Simply atrocious. I wish I could put one of those big black strips over her face to emphasize the extent to which this is a fashion DON’T.

Poor thing. I guess when Daddy’s constantly wearing a Speedo and pretending to fight other oiled-up men, we sometimes form a distorted image of what’s fashionable in our brains. Could happen to anybody I guess.

So, we all know that high waisted skirts are all the rage this season, right? That’s old news. But we just want to share our appreciation for this particular trend. High-waisted skirts are so feminine and sexy and should be rocked anytime we can. They’re very flattering to a women’s body and can be worn to work as well as out on dates. Celebrity Tyra Banks is wearing one here, and created the perfect outfit with easily with a button down blouse. We wear our skirts with our tortoiseshell glasses to work, and think it presents the perfect image: professional, smart, and sexy as all get out.

Chanel is definitely the way to go for designer sunglasses as far as I’m concerned. The quality is simply much higher. You can really feel the difference. After I lost my original pair of Chanel sunglasses I bought a pair of Dior’s, and they’re not the same. AT ALL. They feel plasticky (if that’s a word) and cheap, and I’m not impressed. So when in doubt, Chanel’s your way out.

Well, ladies and gents, okay probably just ladies, summer’s here! I love this time of year because the days are long and the sun is out. And we know that “Everybody loves the sunshine”. “Folks get dooown in the sunshine, folks get brown in the sunshiine.” Sorry guys, I shouldn’t be pushing my iPod music on you! This is a fashion blog for goodness sake!

Anyway, how cute are these shorts from Alice McCall’s latest collection? Very summery and very feminine. And look at the handbag to match. She looks like a little doll.
